CBS news is reporting that rapper Wiz Khalifa was arrested after performing at East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C as a part of his “Waken Baken Tour 2010.” He “was charged with a felony count of trafficking in marijuana, a felony count of maintaining or storing marijuana and one misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.” According to MTV.com, police could smell the drug from outside of Khalifa’s tour bus, and upon a search, found 60 grams of marijuana.

The rapper, who openly expresses his love for the drug with his music, was released on $300,000 bail.

Khalfa is scheduled to perform at the University of Massachusetts on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m.

The owner of NV Concepts and promoter of Khalifa’s UMass show, Tim Bonito said, “From what we understand, [Khalifa’s arrest] should not have an effect on the show.”

He added, however, that there has not yet been an official statement from Khalifa regarding the show.
