Self-expression isn’t only seen on canvas. In “Eclecion 2000,” the first presentation of the semester by African Creative Expressions, seven students took life experiences, set them to inspiring music, and choreographed dance routines to express themselves through artistic movement.
The result is a collection of 10 short performances split into two acts that are as diverse in music as the dance styles used, ranging from jazz, modern, and ballet to hip-hop.
