Sacramento City Police are currently investigating an attempted robbery that occurred on the Guy West Bridge on Sunday, Sept. 17 at about 11:30 p.m.

A male victim reported that he and a friend were walking over the bridge when three males tried to jump him for his leather jacket. The victim described the suspects as one black male and two white males.

“No suspects had been located at the time of the initial call,” said John Hamrick, director of Sacramento State Public Safety.

Campus Police officers responded to the call and assisted the Sacramento City Police in the attempt to locate the suspects.

“The crime happened in the city jurisdiction; therefore, the Sacramento Police Department is handling the investigation,” Hamrick said.
