Minutemen set to play first ever CAA conference game

With it becoming a member of the Colonial Athletic Conference this season, UMass will begin its conference schedule Saturday when it hosts Hofstra in its first ever CAA game. The game will feature two top 20 teams and the fifth and sixth best offenses in the nation.

Carrie Underwood to “Play On” Saturday

American Idol star, Carrie Underwood will make her second-ever appearance at the University of Massachusetts this Saturday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. as part of her “Play On” tour, named after her latest CD release.

Plourde dominates in the circle, leads nation in strikeouts

Sara Plourde showed she could be a strong pitcher last year as a freshman, but in her sophomore season she has exceeded even those expectations. The sophomore currently is 14-3 on the year and leads the country with 236 strikeouts.
