Miller, Wilson head to Regionals
Seniors Brian Miller and Lisa Wilson will represent the Massachusetts track and field team at the NCAA East Regionals. Both have led their respective teams by breaking multiple school records.

Lightweight 8 takes first in nationals
The Massachusetts rowing team ended its year with positive results in the USRowing Collegiate Championships. The Minutewomen took first place in the Lightweight 8 race with a time of 7:33.426.

UMass falls short of A-10 tournament despite victory
The seniors helped the Massachusetts baseball team win 15-8 over La Salle in its final game of the season, but still fell short of making the Atlantic 10 tournament. The Minutemen won six conference series in 2010.

Minutewomen bounced from NCAA tournament
The Massachusetts softball team lost two games in the Amherst Regional to Boston University and Long Island. After the game, UMass coach Elaine Sortino said sophomore pitcher Sara Plourde played most of the postseason with an injured hip, which affected her delivery.

UMass opens Amherst Regional against Long Island
During last year’s Amherst Regional, the Massachusetts softball team lost a 15-inning affair to Washington, the eventual national champions. UMass coach Elaine Sortino believes her team learned a lot since that night.

Minutemen fighting for postseason
After getting swept last weekend by Xavier, the Massachusetts baseball team plays in a must-win series this weekend against La Salle at home. This is the last series on the UMass regular season schedule and it will need to win at last two games to give itself a chance at clinching a spot in the postseason.

UMass competes in championship weekend
The Massachusetts track and field team competed in two separate championship events over this past weekend. The women finished 43rd, and the men at 31st.
