The Massachusetts rowing team ended its year with positive results in the USRowing Collegiate Championships. The Minutewomen took first place in the Lightweight 8 race with a time of 7:33.426.

The seniors helped the Massachusetts baseball team win 15-8 over La Salle in its final game of the season, but still fell short of making the Atlantic 10 tournament. The Minutemen won six conference series in 2010.

The Massachusetts softball team lost two games in the Amherst Regional to Boston University and Long Island. After the game, UMass coach Elaine Sortino said sophomore pitcher Sara Plourde played most of the postseason with an injured hip, which affected her delivery.

After getting swept last weekend by Xavier, the Massachusetts baseball team plays in a must-win series this weekend against La Salle at home. This is the last series on the UMass regular season schedule and it will need to win at last two games to give itself a chance at clinching a spot in the postseason.
