The Massachusetts rowing team is expecting a high level of competition when it heads to Philadelphia for the Dad Vail regatta. The Minutewomen will face teams such as Duke, San Diego and Buffalo.

With two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Massachusetts baseball team down by two runs, junior Matt Gedman hit a home run to give the Minutemen the lead. UMass has now won five of its last six games.

For the second time this season, the No. 21 Massachusetts softball team will face Boston College on Wednesday night. In their first meeting on April 6, the Minutewomen shut out the Eagles, 6-0, as starting pitcher Sara Plourde allowed only one hit, nearly completi the no-hit bid.
