At the start of the 2009-10 school year, the Massachusetts Daily Collegian changed servers to CampusLIVE and created a new home for DailyCollegian.com. Now after a year of figuring out we like about our site and what we can improve upon, our web staff is currently building a redesign.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on what you feel we can improve at DailyCollegian.com.
Our goal is to create a place that provides all the information you’d want to know about UMass, the town of Amherst and the surrounding communities.
You’ll notice that our multimedia coverage will greatly improve this year, with photo slideshows, podcasts and videos that relate to things you are interested in.
We have already been in contact with a few interested bloggers who plan to post regularly on our site and provide insight into things we usually have not covered before.
Another goal of ours is to make DailyCollegian.com a fun and lively environment where readers and writers interact with each other and with themselves.
What kind of things are you interested in seeing? What will make you want to come to our site? Please leave a comment here or email at cshores@dailycollegian.com. We look forward to hearing what you have to say.
Thanks and have a great summer!
