Dark Star Orchestra channels the Grateful Dead

Grateful Dead cover band Dark Star Orchestra promises something old and something new for its performance today at the Calvin Theater in Northampton at 8 p.m. The band, according to drummer Dino English, “will play Grateful Dead music live to the best of our ability and that if you come to the show, you will most likely have a real good time.”

Minutemen settle for another draw against Big Green

UMass tied its fourth opponent so far this season, as Dartmouth and the Minutemen each scored one goal Wednesday afternoon. UMass takes on Siena Saturday before A-10 play opens up with Xavier next Friday at Rudd Field.
