Minutewomen kick off fall season

The Massachusetts tennis team kicked off the fall season at the Eastern Collegiate Invitational at Army in West Point, N.Y. this past weekend. Sophomore Julia Comas won the Flight B singles championship while freshman Jessica Podlofsky won Flight D. No. 1 singles player Yuliana Motyl, however, had a bye in the first round before losing to Hofstra’s Elena Ivanova in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

UMass hosts Siena on Wednesday at Rudd Field

After going 0-2-1 in its last three games at home, the Massachusetts men’s soccer team will look to turn around its homestand on Wednesday against Dartmouth. The Big Green features a high-powered, dynamic offense that possesses eight different goal-scorers on the young season.

UMass receives award for proposed plan
