We’ve all been there. It’s 3 a.m. during finals week, you have a Stats exam at 10 and where are you? On YouTube.com, obviously. In honor of mostly everyone finishing up midterms, I have decided to compile a list of 10 of the best YouTube videos to procrastinate to, laugh to, or show your friends.

1. Bed Intruder Song/ Original News Story

If you haven’t seen this, it is the YouTube hit of the year. Antoine Dodson’s sister gets attacked when an intruder comes into her room one night. However, he fleas and the news interview reflects Dodson’s views on the situation. The humor in this particular video comes from Dodson’s blatant stupidness, but the funniest part of these complementary videos is the “remix” in which the interview is put to some form of techno-rap-electronica beat. It’s definitely my number one pick for this segment.

2. Kittens Inspired by Kittens!

Who doesn’t love kittens? This little girl reads a book making one word exclamations describing what each kitten is quite literally doing. Favorite exclamation “HUNGRYYYYY”. Kittens girl is also famous for explaining World War 2 (or 3, she is easily confused). Adorable and light-hearted, Kittens girl makes all of us wish we were that cute when we were five.

3. Single Ladies Gone Wrong

In the spring of 2009, Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” was the most popular song, and everyone knew it. Everyone tried, and either greatly succeeded or failed miserably. In this video, the ladies performing decided for some odd reason that it would be a good idea to wear clown costumes while performing. It is not necessary, and hinders the ability to see clearly when dancing, especially when there are other objects in the room.

4. Sarah Hyland as La Sarah

Who said white girls can’t get down? You Tube comedian Sarah Hyland takes a spin on putting an “La” on the front of your name and essentially making yourself sound more ghetto. In this video, she endorses Cran-Grape juice, teaches us how to barbecue, and dance with a hula-hoop. A cute, little white girl, she sure shows us how to pop and lock it.

5. 60 Most Ghetto Names

There are two versions to this video, and both are equally hilarious. In each one, two people just say the 60 Most Ghetto Names (both versions have different ones). The real humor lies in what the actual names are. The creators take names of people or things and add “isha”,”aqua”, and other common ghetto-esque suffixes and prefixes. Hilarious because these names could actually be pretty legitimate in some places.

6. Can I Have Your Number?

If you have made it this far in life without seeing this video, you should probably 1. Jump off a cliff, or stop reading this blog immediately and go watch it. Nicole Randall Johnson of MadTV dresses up as a man and creeps on a fellow movie-goer. He acts as the epitome of stalker but being all around comical as s/he does it.

7. The Parody of Shakira’s “Whenever, Wherever”

Remember when this song came out and no one had any idea WTF Shakira was saying? Well MadTV made a parody of it, using a Shakira look-a-like who sings about the most ridiculous things, yet it surprisingly makes for an arguably better song than the original. The video rivals the original, featuring body-rolling, mud crawling, and lots of hair-throwing.

8. Bon Qui Qui

Another MadTV classic comes in the form of King Burger. Comedian Anjelah Johnson poses as a King Burger employee (Bon Qui Qui) from the hood whose favorite sayings are “Rue!”, ‘Don’t Interup”, and “I Will Cut You.” Bon Qui Qui is offensive, funny, and charming, and one of the funniest YouTube videos out there.

9. Push Up Bra Will Help Me Get My Man

While this is known advice for every cosmo-girl, YouTube comedian Glozell reaffirms our notions by explaining that everything she is doing in preparation for her blind date (blind in the sense that Peter does not know she is coming) will make her look less ghetto. Filmed while driving, the rant features outbursts about other drivers, lipstick, Kool-Aid as hair dye, as well as other various beauty secrets from the car.

10. Teenage Dream sung by Weird Kid

The dwarf-midget-weird kid sings Katy Perry’s hit. Enough said.
