Nail Polish For the Holiday Season

Christmas is my hands down my favorite time of the year. From December 1st to the 25th I make a conscious effort to be my most festive. Since I am also a do-it-yourself-manicure enthusiast, I was ecstatic when the new Holiday nail polish collections came out. With these colors, your nails will add that necessary Holiday touch that will make you smile.

ESSIE

I always love Essie nail polish for its classic, sophisticated colors. For their Holiday/Winter line they definitely did not disappoint; the cool maroon an beiges are a great addition to the appropriate red and diluted greens for the Christmas season. These colors are great if you don’t want your nails to come off as too flashy but they are definitely still festive. Colors in the collection include: Smokin’ Hot in grey, Masquerade Belle in a maroon/purple, Silken Cord in red, Hot Coco in a beige color, Luxedo in deep purple, and Going Incognito.

OPI

For this collection, OPI decided to team up with the new movie Burlesque starring Cher and Christina Aguilera, with the two performers that star in the movie, you know its going to be a flashy, over the top 2 hours. This line is exactly that. If you want your nails to be noticed (whether it be good or bad is all in personal taste) this Holiday collection by OPI will do just that.

This is by far my favorite brand to splurge on for the Holiday Season. Yes, unfortunately, I did say splurge. The newest colors of the Lippmann collection are as much as $20 a bottle, which, for nail polish can seem a little ridiculous but the colors are so sparkly and festively appropriate, it’s hard for me to resist. The silver sparkle shade is dubbed the name Today Was a Fairytale while the gold shimmer is called Boom Boom Pow, which can also conveniently be used for New Years as well.

SEPHORA BY OPI

Sephora by OPI’s, Sleigh of Hand Collection comes in six sleek and sexy Holiday colors. Ranging from only $5-$8, the collection includes three different types of red, a forest green, and of course, my favorite, two glitter options: silver and gold.
