Shooting woes plague Minutemen against Black Bears

UMass has relied heavily on players like Anthony Gurley and Freddie Riley to score points. As a team against Maine Wednesday evening, the Minutemen went 18-of-61 from the field and 5-for-25 from 3-point range. UMass also missed a number of layups which ultimately resulted in their second-straight loss of 2010.

RHA celebrates the year

To end their first semester as the Residence Hall Association (RHA) the former Residence Leader Association (RLA) held a celebration with desserts, refreshments, cluster presidents, Student Government Association (SGA) senators and a slideshow Tuesday night in the Campus Center.

Minutewomen fall to Terriers in Boston

Defensive struggles led to another defeat for UMass, who has just one victory so far this season. The Minutewomen turned the ball over 14 times in the first half, which BU turned into 16 points en route to a 66-49 victory. UMass will be back in action Saturday afternoon when it takes on Binghampton.

The right to go Loko

With the ban of caffeinated alcoholic bevarages in Massachusetts, The Massahusetts Daily Collegian thinks that the state legislature has gone too far in its restrictions on controversial alcoholic beverages and that the UMass administration should not follow suit.

Minutemen, Minutewomen have time off from competition before heading to Puerto Rico

With finals coming up, UMass is still practicing but will have a 10-day break during Christmas before returning to Amherst and traveling to Puerto Rico to compete in the Loyola Invitational Jan. 8. After winter break, the teams have eight weeks before CAA competition begins.
