Students, community members gather to remember Bhopal tragedy

Last Friday, a group of about 50 undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and community members came together at the University of Massachusetts campus center to mark the 26-year anniversary of the industrial disaster at a Union Carbide-owned pesticide factory in Bhopal, India.

UMass needs to make the football jump

After hearing recent rumors that the Massachusetts football team is looking to move to the Football Bowl Subdivision, Nick O’Malley says that the school needs to make the commitment to support the move which would be a concrete sign that the school is on the rise.

Distractology 101: Arbella Insurance donates new driving research facility to UM

The Department of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts and Arbella Insurance of Quincy, Mass., have teamed up to create the Distractology 101 program, which guides drivers through a simulator, throwing at them different scenarios where they may be distracted.

“Love and Other Drugs,” starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway, is about two individuals who are upset with the state of the pharmaceutical system in the United States. Though the movie is predictable, it is worth seeing.
