Collegian Sports Briefs: April 10, 2011

It was a winning weekend for the various Maroon and White teams.

  • The Minutewomen of the softball diamond came through in their doubleheader against St. Bonaventure with two victories. Sara Plourde struck out 30 batters. Read Michael Wood’s recap of the game as well as Steve Levine’s notes from the Softball Complex.

 

  • The men’s lacrosse team continued its top CAA-play with a 9-8 victory over Towson. Read Herb Scribner’s recap here on how the Minutemen pulled out a clutch victory.

 

 

  • Although the men’s baseball team defeated Dayton, 2-1, in the opening of a three-game series this weekend, the Flyers stormed back with two-straight victories to take the series.
