UM to run in NCAA Regional Qualifier
After two weeks of rest, UMass heads to Boston to compete in the NCAA Regional Qualifiers as it hopes to fight for a spot in the NCAA Championships. The Minutemen took second place in the Atlantic 10 Championships on Oct. 31.

Hosting Binghamton, both UMass teams come out with wins
The Massachusetts men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams defeated Binghamton at the Joseph Rogers Pool on Saturday with scores of 171-107 and 182-117, respectively. The victories move both teams to 3-1 on the season.

UMass places in top 5 of A-10 Conference Championships
Despite adverse weather conditions, the Massachusetts men’s and women’s cross country teams placed 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships. Three Minutemen placed in the top 15, while freshman Courtney Baldwin finished 9th overall and earned the A-10 Rookie of the Year award.

UMass heads to Saint Louis for A-10 Championships
The Massachusetts cross country team will encounter sloppy conditions this weekend when they compete in the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships. The field is expected to be thick, wet, and muddy as rain showers will accumulate anywhere from two to four inches by Friday night.

Minutemen Swimming/Diving to take on Army
UMass hopes to build off of their recent win against BU. They’ll travel to Westpoint, NY to take on Army this weekend.

Minutewomen place 4th in Albany while Minutemen place 25th at ISU Pre-Nationals in Indiana
The Massachusetts women’s cross country team outran its male counterparts in competition this weekend. At the Albany Invitational this past weekend. The Minutewomen placed 4th overall while the Minutemen finished 25th out of 35 at the ISU Pre-Nationals.

UMass gears up for season in the pool
The coaches’ voices were barely audible, as practice continued to go on in Boyden Gym. The sounds that filled the air as both the men’s and women’s swimming teams prepared for their first race of the season were that of hard work. The Massachusetts’ swimming and diving teams were preparing for homecoming weekend as they embark on the 2009-2010.

Minutemen, Minutewomen finish second, 14th at NE Championships
Courtney Baldwin and Jonathan Pierce paced the Massachusetts cross country teams at the New England Championships this past weekend. The Minutemen placed second as a team, while the Minutewomen finished 14th.

Cross country heads to Paul Short Invitational
Both the Massachusetts men’s and women’s cross country teams head to the Paul Short Invitational this weekend in Bethelem, Pa. Five other Atlantic 10 teams accompany UMass this weekend.
