Take me “Home”

“Home” is a two week exhibition in the Student Union Art Gallery displaying artwork from University of Massachusetts and Five College students. According to the website, the exhibition addresses what, where and when home is. An exploration into peoples’ different roots, heritage and backgrounds fill the walls of the gallery and welcomes viewers into an artist’s interpretation of home.

Audience members and performers unite over vaginas

A sell-out for both nights of its performance, “The Vagina Monologues” made a large impact on the University of Massachusetts community this weekend.

‘Vagina Monologues’ performed at Bowker

They meet every Sunday as an entire group, with a supplemental smaller meeting during the week, to discuss one thing: their vaginas. The cast of the “Vagina Monologues,” coming to Bowker Auditorium Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m., has been rehearsing for just under a month, and is made up of over 40 women. While most are University of Massachusetts students, members also include staff from the Everywoman’s Center, a haven for students of any gender expression to turn to for help.
