UMass marks anniversary of fall of Berlin Wall

On Tuesday, November 10, the University of Massachusetts hosted a celebration of the 20-year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on the second floor of the Herter Hall Annex. The festivities included a well-catered reception, the official opening of an art exhibit in tribute of the historic anniversary and a screening of the documentary, “Leipzig in the Fall.”

UMass Majors Fair to be held Wednesday

The annual University of Massachusetts Majors Fair will take place Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Auditorium.

UMass and Hancock Shaker Village create new Historical Preservation and Design graduate program

The University of Massachusetts Amherst is joining forces with Hancock Shaker Village, a National Historic Landmark in the Berkshires, to offer a new graduate program in Historic Preservation and Design starting in the fall of 2010. The program offers prospective students the unique opportunity to enliven traditional coursework with onsite experience at the historically rich village.
