The Massachusetts baseball team had its best season in six years while rumors swirled about the program getting cut. With that threat no longer in existence, the Minutemen hope to build on their success into 2010.

After losing Mitchell Clegg and Adam Tempesta to graduation, the Massachusetts baseball team is looking for younger players to fill the shoes of the graduated seniors.

UMass coach Mike Stone feels fortunate about his team having a balance of upperclassmen as well as a fair amount of youth. The Minutemen will look to replace the loss of Mitchell Clegg and Adam Tempesta.

After pitching two seasons for the Massachusetts baseball team, Mitchell Clegg was drafted to the Washington Nationals. He currently plays for the Class A Vermont Lake Monsters.
