Behind strong performances from senior captain Alec Goolsby and junior Danny Arnao, the Minutemen won the NECHA West Division with victories over Westfield State and Keene.

After a tough 7-2 loss Friday night, UMass bounced back with a last-second goal to defeat the Rams 2-1 on Saturday. The split leaves UMass in third place in the conference.

The Massachusetts men’s club hockey team split a back-and-forth weekend, which saw two overtime games against Maine and Bryant at the Mullins Center. In the first contest, the Minutemen defeated Bryant, 5-4, with a game-winning goal by Matthew Coughlin.

After defeating Central Connecticut State, the Massachusetts men’s club hockey team suffered its second loss of the season to Western Connecticut State. The Minutemen offense struggled and was held to a single goal after scoring 71 goals prior to the loss.
