Minutewomen row to four first-place finishes

Similar to its 2009 performance, the Massachusetts rowing team finished with four first-place finishes and a bunch of top five and top 10 performances at the Head of Fish Regatta.

UMass heads to New York to compete in Head of the Fish regatta

After a solid effort at the Head of the Charles in Boston, the Massachusetts rowing team will head to Saratoga, N.Y. to take part in the Head of the Fish regatta. Much of the Minutewomen squad will be competing more than once this weekend and overall will bring 16 boats to compete in 11 races.

Boucher leads Minutewomen to impressive performances in Boston

Behind junior Emily Boucher, UMass had a number of solid races at the Head of the Charles this past weekend in Boston, Mass. Boucher finished seventh out of 20 competitors and also guaranteed herself a spot in next year’s event.

Biggest race of the season on tap for Minutewomen

After poor weather conditions derailed the Massachusetts crew team on the Connecticut River last weekend, the Minutewomen will race in their biggest event of the season in the Head of the Charles in Boston. UMass will enter in both the Champ 4 and Lightweight 8 races.

Minutewomen start season in Connecticut

After having its home-opener rained out, the Massachusetts rowing team will head to Shelton, Conn., for the Head of the Housatonic. The event is one of the largest regattas in the country each year.

Lightweight 8 takes first in nationals

The Massachusetts rowing team ended its year with positive results in the USRowing Collegiate Championships. The Minutewomen took first place in the Lightweight 8 race with a time of 7:33.426.

‘Dad Vail’ up next for UM rowers

The Massachusetts rowing team is expecting a high level of competition when it heads to Philadelphia for the Dad Vail regatta. The Minutewomen will face teams such as Duke, San Diego and Buffalo.
