After breaking its three-game losing streak in its four-game homestand, the Massachusetts women’s lacrosse team will face its first long road trip of the season. The Minutewomen will face Stony Brook this Saturday before remaining in New York to take on Albany the following weekend.

Heading on the road to face Stony Brook, the Massachusetts women’s lacrosse team will be familiar with the setting. Several players on the UMass roster, including junior Jackie Lyons, are from the state of New York which makes the contest against the Seawolves a homecoming of sorts.

The Massachusetts women's lacrosse team lost its third straight game to New Hampshire yesterday afternoon, 11-8. The Minutewomen came out firing after the opening whistle, scoring two goals within the first three minutes of play.

For the third straight game, the Massachusetts women's lacrosse team was held to under 10 goals, all of which resulted in losses. UMass coach Alexis Venechanos is hoping that her team's problems on offense will go away in time for the A-10 schedule.

After losing back-to-back games at home over the past week, the Massachusetts women’s lacrosse team will search for its second win of the season at McGuirk Stadium when it hosts New Hampshire today. The Wildcats have won both their games this spring and play their first road game against UMass.

Against New Hampshire this afternoon, the Minutewomen will look to improve on their clearing, turnovers, and draw controls in pursuit of their third win this season.
