UMass announces 2011 schedule, holds Pro Day event

UMass football has announced its 2011 schedule, which is highlighted by the second-annual Colonial Clash at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 22 against New Hampshire and a BCS matchup with Boston College on Sept. 24.

Running back tandem paying off for Minutemen

Through their first four games, three of which have been victories, No. 8 UMass is third in the CAA with 212.8 yards per game, thanks in part to the two-headed monster that is John Griffin and Jonathan Hernandez.

Hernandez, Griffin run away with UMass victory

Behind Minutemen backs Jonathan Hernandez and John Griffin, UMass defeated No. 4 William and Mary Saturday, 27-23 for their first victory of the season. Hernandez ran for 132 yards on 25 carries while Griffin ran for 84 yards on 21 carries.
