UMass football has announced its 2011 schedule, which is highlighted by the second-annual Colonial Clash at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 22 against New Hampshire and a BCS matchup with Boston College on Sept. 24.

Running back tandem paying off for Minutemen
Through their first four games, three of which have been victories, No. 8 UMass is third in the CAA with 212.8 yards per game, thanks in part to the two-headed monster that is John Griffin and Jonathan Hernandez.

Morris leads young squad into 2010 season
If some of the names on the Massachusetts football roster look unfamiliar this season, don’t be surprised. Entering the second year of the Kevin Morris era, the Minutemen consist of a young mix of talent and veteran transfers from discontinued programs.

Hernandez, Griffin run away with UMass victory
Behind Minutemen backs Jonathan Hernandez and John Griffin, UMass defeated No. 4 William and Mary Saturday, 27-23 for their first victory of the season. Hernandez ran for 132 yards on 25 carries while Griffin ran for 84 yards on 21 carries.
