The Massachusetts men’s cross country team captured a 17th-place finish out of 19 teams at the IC4A Championships to wrap up its season. Junior Patrick McAllister led the Minutemen in 58th place in a field of 162 runners with a time of 26 minutes and 12 seconds.

After a grueling effort at the Atlantic 10 championships, the Massachusetts men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete in the NCAA Regional Championships on Saturday in Madison, Conn. Last year, the Minutemen came in 11th place at the regional championships, while the Minutewomen finished 20th.

Despite having the weekend off, the Massachusetts cross country teams are preparing for the upcoming battle in Pennsylvania. Both teams are keeping a watchful eye on conference rival Duquesne, which is based out of Pittsburgh, and may have a home field advantage.
