Shooting woes plague Minutemen against Black Bears

UMass has relied heavily on players like Anthony Gurley and Freddie Riley to score points. As a team against Maine Wednesday evening, the Minutemen went 18-of-61 from the field and 5-for-25 from 3-point range. UMass also missed a number of layups which ultimately resulted in their second-straight loss of 2010.

Last second call keeps Minutemen undefeated

Senior Anthony Gurley put up the game-winning layup that was blocked and ruled goaltending, as UMass blew a 17-point lead against the Bobcats but held on for the victory, 66-64, Wednesday night. Gurley finished with 19 points, while Javorn Farrell led the team with 25 points while adding five rebounds and an assist.
