Duo of Motyl, Swiszcz make noise in ITA Regionals

Minutewomen open season with shaky win against UConn
The Massachusetts women’s tennis team dropped two of its three doubles matches against the Huskies, but took four of six singles matches to claim a 4-3 victory.

Tennis team posts mixed results
At the ITA Northeast Regional Championships, the Massachusetts tennis team finished with mixed results. While sophomore Julia Comas headlined UMass going 2-2 over the weekend, Candyce Boney failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament.

Minutewomen send 6 to compete in ITA Regional tournament
The Massachusetts tennis team will send six players to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional tournament in Dartmouth, N.H. this weekend to compete for a chance to play in the NCAA championships in May. Senior Candynce Boney will compete for her last chance to get to the dance in May.

Minutewomen show strong showing against Rams
UMass defeated URI last Wednesday, as senior Candynce Boney and sophomore Julie Comas set the tone early, winning 8-5 in doubles and leading the Minutewomen to their second victory of the year.

Minutewomen host Rams after rainout vs. Crusaders
After its first home opener was cancelled due to inclement weather, UMass hosts Fordham this Friday in hopes of building off of its successes at the Eastern College Invitational last weekend.
