UMass took on UNH in the first annual Colonial Clash at Gillette Stadium. Over 30,000 fans were in attendance to see the first college football game ever played at Gillette. The Minutemen, though, got roughed up by the Wildcats by a score of 39-13.

The Massachusetts football team played its first game at the confines of the New England Patriots, but didn’t play well enough for the venue, according to coach Kevin Morris.

Offense struggling following bye week

The Massachusetts football team has seen its offensive production fall in its last two games. Although quarterback Kyle Havens threw for 450 yards, the running game ultimately offset his performance.

UMass heads into bye week at No.8, Holmes earning more accolades

While the Minutemen do not play this weekend, they do boast a 4-1 record with their only defeat coming at the hands of the Wolverines. Linebacker Tyler Holmes was named the UMass Co-Athlete of the Week, FCS Linebacker of the Week and was added to the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List.

Running back tandem paying off for Minutemen

Minutemen look past Wolverines, face Seawolves Saturday

After nearly upsetting Big Blue at the Big House, UMass takes on Stony Brook this Saturday. Last season, the Minutemen defeated the Seawolves 44-17, as Jonathan Hernandez rushed for 140 yards and three scores. Hernandez rushed for 118 against the Wolverines Saturday.
