Pitcher Sara Plourde threw 18 strikeouts and Sarah Reeves hit two home runs en route to the Massachusetts softball team’s 3-0 victory over Saint Joseph’s. UMass will now have to get past Fordham ace Jen Mineau in order to get to the Championship.

Minutewomen face Hawks for 3rd time in A-10 tournament
The Atlantic 10 tournament is one that usually belongs to the Massachusetts softball team. However, if Saint Joseph’s has its way, its experience from Sunday’s double-header could keep the Minutewomen from maintaining that tradition.

Fordham sweeps Temple
Fordham defeated Temple this past weekend as a part of a 13-game winning streak for the Rams. The win was due to a combination of offensive and defensive production.
