It came down to the final weekend but all four spots in the Atlantic 10 field hockey tournament are set. Richmond managed to win two must-win games to get into the tournament as a No. 3 seed, led by Dani Pycroft who scored two goals over the weekend.

With two victories over WCU and the La Salle Explorers this weekend, UMass extended its winning streak to nine games, finishing undefeated in A-10 regular season play. The Minutewomen will look to make it back to the NCAA tournament when postseason play begins Nov. 5.

The Massachusetts field hockey team won two come-from-behind games this weekend as it improved to 3-0 in the Atlantic 10. Thando Zono scored twice on Sunday to put the Minutewomen over A-10 rival Richmond.

In its final non-conference game, the Massachusetts field hockey team defeated Dartmouth, 5-4, in double overtime. Katie Kelly scored the game-winning goal after the Big Green erased a 3-1 deficit and seemed to match every UMass goal. The senior’s two-goal effort pushed her season total to a team-leading 10 goals.
