  UNH upsets No. 8 UMass Lowell A third period rally from No. 8 UMass Lowell fell short, falling to New Hampshire 3-2 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, with the Wildcats securing two much needed points in the conference. Despite the River Hawks’ (17-6-5, 10-4-4 Hockey East) dominating 45-16 shot advantage, the UNH’s (10-14-4, 4-8-4 HEA) three goals went unanswered until the third period, with goaltender Daniel Tirone making 43 saves in the victory.
