Video: Minutewomen clinch first seed in conference tourney

With two victories over WCU and the La Salle Explorers this weekend, UMass extended its winning streak to nine games, finishing undefeated in A-10 regular season play. The Minutewomen will look to make it back to the NCAA tournament when postseason play begins Nov. 5.

Temple at head of Atlantic 10

The Temple field hockey team sits one game ahead of West Chester with a 4-1 record. Goalkeeper Sarah Dalrymple has been instrumental in the Owls’ success, posting three shutouts in victories against Fairfield, St. Francis and Georgetown.

UMass, Richmond picked to top A-10

The Massachusetts field hockey team is projected to be crowned Atlantic 10 conference champions in 2010, according to this year’s preseason poll. Nine starters will return from last year’s squad.
