A female student at the University of Massachusetts reported having her phone stolen near Washington Hall around 7:50 p.m. on Saturday.

The victim told the UMass Police Department that she was approached by three males and asked by one if he could use her cell phone.

The three males then allegedly ran off of the UMass campus, through Fearing Street and onto Sunset Avenue, without returning the phone.

Another witness described the three males as roughly 16 years of age, and the victim described the male who stole the phone as a 5’5’’ light-skinned, black adolescent. The victim said the main suspect had dark hair of average length, was clean-shaven and was wearing gray Nike sneakers with an orange swoosh.
