Despite the long delays and the bitter cold, most were thrilled to be there and be part of history.
However, some of the people who purchased tickets to the inauguration were literally left out in the cold when they arrived at the National Mall and were turned away.
There were people allegedly without tickets that had camped out on the Mall all night long and taken the place of those with tickets. Security allowed the campers to stay and sent away those with tickets.
