Dorm Room Recipes: No-bake chocolate crunch cookies

Courtesy of Samantha Gillis

There are certain foods every college student should have in their dorm room. That lists includes (though is not limited to) cereal, peanut butter, and of course, chocolate. Not only are these items yummy, but if you put them all together you get the another dorm essential: cookies! You don’t even need an oven for these cookies, so they require very little work. You can be lazy and still have the chocolate-peanut butter combo goodness. Perfect.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 3 cups corn flakes cereal

Directions:

  1. In a large microwave safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips for 2 minutes stirring every 30 seconds. Time may vary depending on your microwaves power but the chocolate chips should be completely melted and smooth.
  2. Stir in peanut butter and mix well.
  3. Pour in the corn flakes and mix until flakes are completely coated.
  4. Drop by tablespoon onto parchment paper, which if you don’t have, anything else will really do. Regular paper, a plate if you have on big enough, whatever as long as it can go fit in the fridge.
  5. Stick them in the fridge for 30 minutes.

And that’s it! Enjoy! This recipe comes from savorysweetlife.com.
