    Absolutely! Some people like myself actually use them to take notes and possibly to follow along with items the professor might have posted on Spark. I for one have terrible handwriting so taking notes on Word is a godsend. Not to mention the fact that some professors post their notes on Spark prior to class so you can just follow along and add your own notes as nessicary. Not everyone just creeps on their friends and acquaintances via facebook during class. Some students actually use the laptops as they are meant to be used in a classroom setting.
