Flirty Fun Reigns at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

It’s not just about watching women parade around in their panties, ladies and gents! The Victoria’s Secret fashion showcases the sexy product and it allows the women to be confident enough to express their femininity through the creativity of the designers.

Every year the costumes get wackier, more glamorous, and more entertaining to watch as they strut down the runway. During the show, you become acquainted with the professionals that make this event such a huge success.

You cannot help but covet the costumes and glitz of the whole affair. The show appeals to the imagination with the work of designers, like Todd Thomas. The culturally inspired couture pieces were to die for. The aquatic portion dazzled the eye with its shimmer and the avante garde mermaid look. The glam boudoir theme was elegant and vaudevillian with pearls, lace, and rustic textures. Lively and colorful, the youth-inspired Pink theme closed the show on an exciting note, even though I wished  the  could have lasted a while longer .

There were also a few surprises if you’ve done your fashionable homework. Karlie Kloss an angel?! Kloss has taken the modeling  industry by storm, walking for some of the biggest names in fashion since she was discovered in 2007. This is an enormous feat for a young woman her age. It was also interesting to get to know the models between commercial breaks. Learning about quirky interests, and even an intellectual side disproves a lot of the negative stereotypes about models in the industry. It proves that beautiful, confident  women can still balance appearance with being multifaceted.

The performances were nothing short of fantastic. Nicki Minaj’s eccentric get up may have out-done her performance, but  you can be easily swept up into the catchy lyrics of “Super Bass” and head bobbing to the  Jay-Z  and Kanye West duo. Maroon 5 was a pleasure to watch and  the lead singer’s  kiss on stage shared with VS angel Anne Vyalitsyna added to the fun and flirty atomosphere. The energy on stage was electrifying and the fashionable anomalies will make next years show even more dramatic. Being caught up in the fashionable fantasy of the show make it an event worth watching year after year.
