Wednesday
The “Hermanos Unidos” Fraternity Inc., Gamma Phi Sigma, will be holding its first informational session of the fall in room 901 of the Campus Center at 8 p.m.
Three Israeli speakers will be facilitating discussions about how terrorist attacks have affected their daily lives and prospects of Israel’s future. The event is free and will be held at Amherst College’s Johnson Chapel beginning at 8 p.m.
The Asian American Student Association will be holding a general meeting at the basement of the Yuri Kochiyama Cultural Center at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will focus on the upcoming Casino Night.
The third question and answer session on Birthright Israel and a free trip to Israel will be held at 7 p.m. at Hillel House.
A screening of Rotation will be held in room 231 of Herter Hall at 8 p.m. The film is the first of four titles in the “Shadows and Sojourners” film series about the images of Jews and anti-fascism in East German film.
Thursday
The Muslim Student Association will be holding its first general body meeting for the year at 7 p.m. in the Cape Cod Lounge.
A documentary on Israeli history will be presented in the recreation room of Hillel House at 7 p.m.
The Cuban Cinema Festival continues with a showing of Things I Left in Havana at 7 p.m. in room 209 of Herter Hall. The screening will be free and open to the public.
Friday
The University of Massachusetts Pride Alliance will be sponsoring a rally at noon on the Student Union Steps in observance of National Coming Out Day. Supporters are asked to wear jeans and a white t-shirt for the day.
Conservative and reform Shabbat services will be held at 6 p.m. at Hillel House followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m.
Saturday
The Stonewall Center will be holding fall training session on speaking out on campus. Everyone is welcome including individuals interested in joining its Speakers Bureau. Academic credit is available. The sessions will run from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and lunch will be served.
