On this episode of the hockey preseason podcast, Colin McCarthy, Kayla Gregoire and Sophie Weller broke down some of the notable new faces of the Massachusetts hockey team. Eight freshman, four transfers and two new coaches complete the Minutemen’s bench for the 2022-23 season.
The freshmen include Noah Ellis, Cole O’Hara, Kennedy O’Connor, Kenny Connors, Tyson Dyck, Owen Murray, Mikey Adamson and Michael Cameron. The transfers are Elliot McDermott, Cole Brady, Josh Nodler and Matt Koopman. Tom Upton and Jacob Pritchard fill out the coaching tree.
UMass will lean on its new additions quite a bit as it looks to rebuild the scoring it lost. Carvel brought in transfers with plenty of offensive experience, as well as one of the most talented freshman classes he’s ever had.
