Minutewomen dominate Vermont in home opener

Minutewomen drop to New Hampshire, 11-8
The Massachusetts women’s lacrosse team lost its third straight game to New Hampshire yesterday afternoon, 11-8. The Minutewomen came out firing after the opening whistle, scoring two goals within the first three minutes of play.

Teamwork, draw controls help UMass in first win
UMass coach Alexis Venechanos felt her team needed to improve in two key areas after the loss to the Wildcats: teamwork and draw controls. The Minutewomen did just that to the tune of out-drawing Holy Cross in their 15-6 win.
