The levees did not fail, and the city was not flooded. Such words were encouraging after the Hurricane Katrina catastrophe that swept over New Orleans a few years ago.
Now, three years later, New Orleans has undergone miraculous efforts in order to prepare the city for the next major storm to hit the gulf.
The Massachusetts women's soccer team got the offensive production it was looking for, but did not get the wanted result, tying New Hampshire, 2-2, in double overtime yesterday at Rudd Field.
"I'm happy that we made progress and sad that we had a chance to win this one [and didn't]," UMass coach Jim Rudy said.
