Evans, of Northampton, Mass., marked the second time in less than six months the legislature heard testimony on the subject.

Despite bringing in five freshmen and having a rebuilding year, the Massachusetts men’s basketball team won its first Atlantic 10 tournament game since 2002 behind Ricky Harris. The senior has led the Minutemen all season and continues to perform well in the playoffs, not wanting to play his last game in a UMass uniform.
