10:41 a.m.: A caller reported finding a stolen cereal bin in the third floor lounge of Moore Residence hall.
10:36 p.m.: An officer reported an open manhole cover on the north side of South College. Physical Plant was notified and took care of it.
Wednesday, Nov. 27
1:35 a.m.: Amherst Police called asking for assistance locating a person involved in a larceny from one of the fraternities. The responding officer reported that he had stopped the person in front of Dickinson Residence Hall. The Amherst Police Department (APD) was notified and the person was placed under arrest.
4:10 a.m.: An RA called from Van Meter Residence Hall reporting that a resident was out of control and destructive on the fourth floor of Van Meter. The officer reported that they had the individual under control on the sixth floor. The resident was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by the Amherst Fire Department (AFD).
4:34 a.m.: AFD called to report they would be responding to a medical emergency reported in Thoreau Residence Hall. One person was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by AFD.
8:19 a.m.: A caller reported that his car was gone from his driveway on Olympia Drive. APD responded and said that they would be delayed due to their officers responding to car accidents.
6:44 p.m.: A caller in Coolidge Residence Hall reported that her staff located a bong that was about three feet long in a dorm room.
7:03 p.m.: An officer reported a breaking and entering in Greenough Residence Hall. An unknown person entered a basement paint room by breaking the door.
Saturday Nov. 30
5:15 p.m.: AFD and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) responded to a fire alarm in the North Village Apartments on N. Pleasant St. Food was left cooking unattended.
10:30 p.m.: Police responded to a suspicious vehicle seen in the “maze” on Stadium Drive. The subject had an active trespass for the entire UMass campus.
Sunday Dec. 1
1:13 a.m.: A student was taken into protective custody for liquor law violations near the Campus Center. The student was 20 years old.
2:41 p.m.: A medical emergency was reported at the Mullins Center. One person was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
9:32 p.m.: Vandalism was reported in Hamlin Residence Hall on N. Pleasant Street. A report of anti-Semitic graffiti on a door was filed.
