John Kerry – Taking Back America
Massachusetts Senator and Democratic Presidential Candidate John F. Kerry, is promising all Americans that help is the way.
With only 49 days left on the campaign trail, Senator Kerry has taken aim at President Bush and criticized him for not serving in the military. He accuses Bush of claims that he made stating that he did once serve in the U.S. Air Force and according the democratic national committee, he did not.
“George Bush has a clear pattern of lying about his military service,” said Jano Cabrera, director of communications for the DNC.
He also criticizes Bush for breaking promises in Iraq. He continues to say that President Bush misled America into war and that our country is headed in the wrong direction in Iraq.
“George W. Bush’s wrong choices have led America in the wrong direction on Iraq and left America without the resources we need here at home,” the presidential candidate said. “The cost of the president’s go-it-alone policy in Iraq is now $200 billion and counting.” Kerry told the Associate Press Wednesday.
In a radio address on Saturday, Sept. 11 Kerry put his campaigning aside and remembered the victims of 9/11.
“On September 11, 2001, they and nearly 3,000 others were living out the daily rhythm of life in a nation at peace. But on that morning, in a single moment, they were lost, and our land was changed forever,” Kerry said during his address.
George Bush – A Safer America
President George W. Bush is campaigning rigorously for the next six weeks as the races to the white house continues to intensify.
Bush, like his opponent, has taken jabs at the Kerry Campaign too. Bush has consistently been calling Kerry the ‘flip-flop Senator from Massachusetts’ claiming that he voted for the war in Iraq, even though he is campaigning against it now.
According to Stephen Schmidt, spokesperson for the Bush/Cheney ’04 campaign, “John Kerry’s shifting positions on Iraq have left Americans with little confidence that he has the conviction and leadership necessary to fight and with the War on Terror. He has taken more positions than anyone can keep track of, and he is losing credibility on the issue.”
In a surprise visit, President George Bush visited the Russian Embassy to sign the book of condolences after the Beslan hostage crisis that killed 335 people.
“The killers once again remind us of the duties we have as free people to work in concert, to work in unity, to make this world a better place,” Bush said.
President Bush paused on Saturday to grieve and remember those who lost their lives on 9/11. He along with First Lady Laura Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife Lynne Cheney visited and paid tribute at a memorial ceremony in Manhattan.
