Nathan Macombers colorful glass shields, vases and bowls show a true mastery of the difficult medium of hot glass for such a young artist. He often adds forged iron to his work; one of his most unique concepts is a six-foot glass spider with iron legs! Macomber received his BA in glass from Prescott College in 1999. He has studied glass at the Massachusetts College of Art, the Corning Museum of Glass, and the Penland School of Arts and Crafts. His vibrant blown glass is made deep in the woods in his studio in the family farmhouse in Conway, New Hampshire.
