Minutemen and women swimming and diving place second at Dartmouth

Both the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams finished second out of three teams at the Dartmouth Invitational this weekend.

Men’s team struggles, while women pull through at Army

The Massachusetts men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams went to West Point to take on Army. While the men’s side fell hard, the women fought to the finish for a thrilling 151-149 win.

After falling to BU last weekend, UMass defeated the Black Knights this weekend for their first win of the season in their home pool.

Rough start for UMass swim

For a team that usually has its way over the competition, the Massachusetts swimming and diving teams took a step back this weekend against Boston University. However, freshman Derek Hursch was one of the few bright spots, winning three events in his first-ever collegiate meet.

Minutemen capture 12th A-10 title, Minutewomen take third in championships

Both the UMass swimming and diving teams had impressive showings at the A-10 championships. Russ Yarworth was named Coach of the Year, while coach Mandy Hixon won her second-straight Diving Coach of the Year award.
