Ladies and Gentlemen, I have seen “The Princess Diaries,” and “What A Girl Wants” is no “Princess Diaries.” Instead, it’s a sluggish and sugary little girl fairytale that offers nothing more than a repeat of “The Princess Diaries” minus its wit and vigor. “What a Girl Wants” should have a better script and better material. Hope as we may, it does not.
The one saving grace “What a Girl Wants” offers is a cast that makes this glossy fantasy a bit easier to endure.
