Students and members of the community braved the cold and windy weather on Saturday morning, equipped with Barack Obama placards and large cups of coffee to see Governor Deval Patrick speak on the steps of the Amherst Town Hall. The speech marked the kick off of the local Obama campaign’s Get-out-the-Vote weekend.
Patrick, who endorsed Senator Obama for the Democratic nomination last October, encouraged those who attended to become active in the Obama campaign by volunteering.
