Tonight, Major League Baseball General Managers Ben Cherington, Chris Antonetti and Neal Huntington will be visiting the University of Massachusetts to speak on the “Covering the Bases – An Evening with our MLB GMs” panel.
All three executives – Cherington (M.S. ’97) of the Boston Red Sox, Antonetti (M.S. ’97) of the Cleveland Indians and Huntington (M.S. ’92) of the Pittsburgh Pirates – are graduates of the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management at the Isenberg School of Management.
General managers make their contributions by handling team transactions, such as negotiating trades and player contracts, and acquiring free agents.
UMass alumnus and ESPNBoston.com reporter Mike Reiss will moderate the panel.
The free-ticketed event will be held at 7 p.m. at the Campus Center Auditorium. There are no more tickets available at this time.
