Twelve University of Massachusetts BDIC alumni will make an appearance at a networking luncheon on Sunday at the Campus Center.
The third annual BDIC Alumni Networking Event will include presentations from officials from Career Services and BDIC, or Bachelor’s Degree with Individual Concentration, students followed by a sit-down networking lunch with an alumni panel.
The attending alumni – which include state Sen. Stan Rosenberg – boast success in a variety of jobs and fields. Other confirmed attendees of the event include Alex Phillips, director of assessment and curriculum development at the UMass Commonwealth Honors College, storyteller Susan Klein and social entrepreneur Corinna Moebius.
According to its website, the UMass BDIC program began in 1970 and has since been “inserting creativity and initiative” into the majors of thousands of students. The program is interdisciplinary, its “core mission” allowing undergraduates “the opportunity to design their own individualized courses of studies.”
The event, which is free to attend, will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on the 11th floor of the Campus Center.
