The dominos just keep falling, one-by-one for the Massachusetts men’s basketball team.
One day removed from picking up two top-tier recruits in De’Jon Jarreau (four-star) and Brison Gresham (three-star) from New Orleans, UMass added another highly-rated recruit on Tuesday just after 11 a.m., when Springfield native Chris Baldwin announced he was joining the Minutemen.
Baldwin, a 6-foot-8, 230-pound forward is listed as a four-star recruit by ESPN, and a three-star recruit according to both Rivals and 247sports. ESPN also lists Baldwin as the second-best player in Massachusetts for the 2016 recruiting class.
According to scouting reports, Baldwin is a powerful and athletic big that is good at rebounding and can step back and hit a mid-range jumper.
Baldwin also had offers from Boston College, Connecticut, Creighton, DePaul, La Salle, Temple, Rhode Island and West Virginia.
