Shanti Furtado, Assistant Video Editor
Shanti Furtado is an Assistant Video Editor at the Massachusetts Daily Collegian. She is a sophomore Sports Journalism major, Business minor and has been with the Collegian since the beginning of her freshman year. Beginning as a beat writer for the women’s ice hockey and men’s lacrosse teams, Shanti found her love for profile writing to share the overlooked stories that have led to athletes’ success. Alongside her writing with the Collegian, Shanti aims to expand her journalistic and multimedia skills through her communications internship with UMass Athletics. She also enjoys producing written pieces, podcasts, and videos about all things music through the Collegian’s arts and culture section.
