The University of Massachusetts Police Department is investigating a report of sexual assault on campus.
Between 2:45 a.m and 3:00 a.m. early Friday morning a female student living in John Quincy Adams Hall said she awoke to find a man she did not recognize standing over her. The victim said when the man realized she was awake he ran from the room.
According to a crime alert on the UMPD website, the suspect is described as “tan skinned, either Hispanic or partially black male, thick curly hair in a pony tail with a headband, approximately 5’6” tall and medium weight, wearing gym clothes.”
